MKA Special Occasions Parking Rezone

The owner of MKA Special Occasions asked the commission to approve the parking rezone to help visitors park safely off the busy street, noting they are willing to upgrade lighting and security.

The property owner explained that high infrastructure costs for sewer lines made building homes unprofitable on those lots, making the parking lot sale a practical alternative.

Speaking as the venue operator, he emphasized that the parking lot is very close to the venue and would reduce neighborhood street parking while promising to fence it for the neighbor's privacy.
